Our Story

Silk & Paddock was born out of a lifelong ambition and a moment of unexpected inspiration.

My name is Jack, and I've wanted to build my own business for as long as I can remember. Growing up I always looked up to my Grandad and the way he approached life and work with determination and pride in what he did. Following in his footsteps has always been in the back of my mind, but for years I couldn't quite find the right idea. Something that felt personal, meaningful and worth building properly.

That clarity eventually came from one of my greatest passions in horse racing. A trip to Paris last year for the Arc at Longchamp became a turning point. Surrounded by tradition, style and the unmistakable atmosphere of racing at the highest level. I noticed something that stuck with me. Amongst all the suits and formal wear, I saw someone wearing a full blue branded tracksuit. It stood out immediately not because it didn't belong, but it showed a different way of being comfortable while engaging with the sport.

That moment sparked the idea for Silk & Paddock.

The idea not to replace the tradition or take anything away from the classic style of racing, but to offer an alternative. A way for people who love the sport to express that passion in a more relaxed, comfortable and modern way, through hoodies, sweatshirts and t-shirts that still carry the spirit of the paddock.

Silk & Paddock is designed for everyone connected to the sport. From fans at the races to stable staff on the yard, to those who simply want to wear something that reflects their love of horses and racing in everyday life. It's about bringing equestrian culture and horse racing into modern casual wear, in the same way other sports and music cultures have become part of everyday fashion.

This is just the beginning of that journey.
